De RS (relaisschakelaar) gemaakt door ATEA werd gebruikt om twee telefoontoestellen aan te sluiten op een netlijn. Als men op een van de toestellen opnam dan werd het andere toestel uitgeschakeld zodat men niet kon meeluisteren.
